Knowledge Evaluations

Knowledge is primarily theoretical in nature. If you’re knowledgeable about Six Sigma, then you’ve acquired a lot of facts and mastered the concepts and theories underlying the tools, methodology and philosophy. A professional can gain the required knowledge from information sources such as books, journals, internet, or traditional classroom-style courses and lectures.

The Six Sigma Global Registry knowledge Evaluation is not a certification exam, they are part of our certification requirements to measure the level of expertise a candidate has after taking a course from a third party.

Evaluating Six Sigma knowledge

Knowledge is a partially abstract and somewhat fluid term. If you think of knowledge as a weighty tome full of theory, facts, and figures, then it’s highly unlikely you’ll remember every tiny piece of information, that is why our evaluations are open book.  You need to know where to look for information and how to correctly apply the concepts.

Nonetheless, a Six Sigma Global Registry international certification has three components the qualifies and individual as a certified professional:

    1. Training that includes core topics from an approved body of knowledge required for the desired level through an accredited institution that guarantees the knowledge levels and to what extent an individual can apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
    2. Knowledge Evaluation to determine the expertise on tools application once the training component is completed.
    3. Certification Project as a ‘proof’ of competence and shows that someone has mastered both the theoretical and practical basics required to be a Six Sigma professional while successfully delivering an improvement project.
